Hi! My name is Sofia Daniel, but everyone calls me Sofie! I grew up on Long Island in Syosset, New York. I started becoming super interested in performing and theatre when I was seven years old after seeing my first and now favorite Broadway show, Wicked, and my life has been devoted to my craft ever since. I am a singer, actor, dancer, and I also have an interest in and love for directing.

I attend the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music to receive my B.F.A in musical theatre. I am going into my third year and have never been happier. At the conservatory, I can pursue my love for theatre and performance, which makes me feel so grateful and fulfilled.

Some of my favorite theatre roles and shows include: Paulette and Kate in Legally Blonde, Miss Scarlet in Clue: The Musical, and Ensemble in Chicago the Musical.

I have also discovered in my time as a performer, I truly enjoy directing. I have directed, assistant directed, music directed, and stage managed in my career. Some of the shows I’ve directed and music directed are 13: The Musical and When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors.

This summer I got the fantastic opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant/ stage manager for A Class Act, New York’s one-week summer intensives. Some of those programs include the Pre-Professional programs, the Bound for Broadway programs, a kids production of The Little Mermaid Jr, and a stage reading of a new musical, Don’t Forget Me by Annie Connelly and James Stryska.

Aside from theater, I also have a job as a lifeguard/swim instructor. I am CPR certified and have done this job for almost seven years. One of my passions is definitely sharing my love for what I do. Whether it be theater or swimming, or even just walking around my favorite places, sharing my love and being able to teach is something I have always been drawn to since I started my job. It fulfills me in indescribable ways, and I cannot wait to continue finding new things that I love in my career.
